I am sinking within myself.
There is such a heaviness in me,
like liquid lead in my belly.
I am so tired.
I could sleep untill some unknown
warmth evaporates what weighs me down.

Childlike Society
When we are children, we are taught that selfishness is bad, and that we should learn to care for one another. We learn that it is wrong to be greedy, and take all the cookies. We are taught to share with our family because it is the best system to retain peace in the home. As we grow up, we must learn to function in an economic system that is childlike. It is infantile and selfish, in that it's basic instinct is to grab up the most resources for oneself that it can. Duty to one another is portrayed as an afterthought, and only a fit action for a "bleeding heart." Who is the one who teaches the childlike society that it must grow up, become responsible, and care for one another?
